The FC-105SAT is worth considering if your business regularly cuts both sheet metal and tubes, needs a 3000 × 1500 mm sheet working area, handles tubes up to 6 meters long, and would benefit from a dual-table production workflow.
If you only process flat sheet, only produce small parts, or have relatively low cutting volume, a simpler FC-Series configuration may offer a better return on investment.
The FC-105SAT supports both sheet metal and tube cutting, with IPG laser power options ranging from 1.5 kW to 6 kW. For sheet metal, maximum cutting capacity increases with laser power. At 6 kW, the machine can cut carbon steel up to approximately 28 mm, stainless steel up to 16 mm, aluminum up to 14 mm, and brass or copper up to 10 mm under suitable cutting conditions.
For tube fabrication, the FC-105SAT supports round, square, rectangular, and structural profiles such as angle iron and C-channel. It can handle round tubes from 20–220 mm, square tubes from 20–150 mm, and rectangular tubes with a diagonal of up to 200 mm. The maximum supported tube length is 6000 mm (19.68 ft), with a maximum load of 150 kg (330 lbs).
The FC-105SAT is best suited for fabrication businesses that regularly work with both sheet and tube metal. Typical applications include automotive parts, structural components, furniture frames, machinery, equipment fabrication, railings, enclosures, and custom metal products.
For shops that only cut flat sheet metal, a dedicated flatbed fiber laser may be a more economical choice.
