Organization Grants
NEA Foundation – Educator Grants
The NEA Foundation provides grants of up to $10,000 to individual educators and teams for professional development and classroom learning projects. These grants cover OMTech equipment, pilot programs, or teacher training in immersive STEAM learning environments.
Project Lead The Way (PLTW) STEM Grants
PLTW offers rolling, year-round grant opportunities to schools implementing its STEM curriculum. Schools can apply for funding each grant cycle (July 1–June 30) to support programs like engineering, computer science, or biomedical—all of which can integrate OMTech for enriched learning.
Voya Unsung Heroes
Educators can apply for classroom project grants—up to $2,000 for 50 finalists, with top prizes going up to $25,000—to fund innovative K–12 projects.
McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation Academic Enrichment Grant
Up to $10,000 per yer for a maximum of $20,000 over two years, the Academic Enrichment Grant aims at enhancing educational programs for children from low-income households. The foundation looks at unique ideas that strengthen academic experiences and facilitate deep learning.
AFCEA Educational Foundation Grants
The AFCEA Educational Foundation offers a range of STEM-focused grants and scholarships designed to support K–12 educators and their students—with a particular emphasis on cybersecurity, digital learning, and hands-on technology integration.
Corporate Grants
Lowe’s Toolbox for Education
Originally an open application, this program now operates by invitation only, offering grants ($2,000–$25,000) focused on technology upgrades, STEM tools, and facility improvements in K‑12 public schools and parent–teacher groups. It remains a reputable funding source, and educators are adviced to approach their local Lowe's for more information.
Best Buy Foundation – Teens & Tech / Career Pathways Grants
Through region-specific programs like the Seattle Fund, the Best Buy Foundation provides grants to nonprofits offering out-of-school STEM and tech career programming for teens. These grants support hands-on, tech-driven learning experiences—ideal for OMTech-enabled projects.
Samsung Solve for Tomorrow
Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow is a nationwide STEM competition that challenges public school students in grades 6–12 to use problem-solving and technology to address real issues in their communities. Each year, schools compete for a share of $2 million in Samsung technology and classroom resources, with state finalists and national winners receiving significant support to bring their ideas to life.
Toshiba America Foundation (TAF)
TAF offers direct funding to K‑12 teachers for creative STEM initiatives. Educators can apply year-round for grants that could cover tools to engage students in inquiry-based and hands-on learning.
