Bio:

My name is Ron Le Vine and I have been working with lasers off and on since I was in High School in the mid 1980’s. More recently, I bought an Ortur LM 3 with all the bells and whistles and while I found that this was not really enough laser power to run a business on, it did allow me to learn and get used to Lightburn which is the software we use to set up our cuts and etchings. 
My current set up is an OMTech MF 2028-100 which is a 100 watt laser unit that works great. I mostly chose this laser model because it would fit through my front door in my apartment. Along with this, I have the OMTech 5200 industrial chiller which does a fantastic job of keeping everything cool while I am running jobs. Finally, I have a Filtrabox X1 filter which I bought after the laser when I found out that there was entirely too much smoke that comes from the laser to run it in an apartment setting. 
I have cut wood, acrylic, and leather with no issues and etching is the same. 
In closing, I am very happy with my OMTech laser and look forward to getting more in the future as my efforts grow.
