Bio:

Hello, I’m Doug, the owner of Midwest Wood Creations, a small custom woodworking and laser engraving business. We specialize in crafting public service and military flags, award plaques, barn doors, and a wide range of personalized pieces.

With over 25 years in law enforcement and five years from retirement, I’ve also dedicated myself to serving as a Chaplain and First Responder Life Coach. My mission is to use woodworking and laser engraving as a creative outlet to help fellow first responders process stress and navigate the challenges of their careers.

My OMTech 80W CO2 laser has become an essential tool in my shop, playing a key role in nearly every project we create. Through Midwest Wood Creations, I aim to blend craftsmanship with purpose, building not just custom pieces but also a path toward healing and resilience.
